The
vision of Al Hamra Resort is to be a major
vacation international resort destination - to
put Ras Al Khaimah "On the map" for vacationers,
similar to other destinations around the world
such as Phuket Bali the Costa Del Sol, or the
Virgin Islands.This will complement and be
supported by similar efforts in neighboring
Emirates which are helping to make the UAE a major tourist destination on the world market. Tourism is recognized as one of
faster growing industries and can be major
contributor to the economic development of Ras
Al Khaimah.
The Al Hamra Resort is
developed around a large lagoon, with 5 new
themed resort hotels, a unique 18 hole golf
course and complimentary residential
development.At build-out, it will feature
approximately 1200 hotel rooms and 950
residential dwelling units.
Eash of the
hotel would be located on the waterfront with
beach, each developed with specific theme to
attract the attention of international
visitors.Possible themes might include
"Atlantis", "Venice" or "Old Cassablanca".The
hotels would be greared to attract the
specific markets, such as young families,sports
enthusiasts,golfers,luxury/spa, and conference
and exhibitions.
The
existing 9 hole golf course
is extended to 18 holes, and winds its way
through the development, adding visual appeal
and value to all the properties as well a very
marketable activity for the hotel operators.
A large "souk" themed commercial
development will be featured in the central
island of the lagoon,providing needed commercial
and restaurant activites for the residents and
hotel guests.
A
mix of residential properties will complement
the hotels, including lagoon and golf-front
villas,apartments and townhouses.The residential
properties will attract UAE residents looking
for a unique luxury lifestyle- both from RAK and
the other Emirates. However they will also help
develop a market for vacation homes, vacation
rentals and timeshares, similar to property
development in Spain and Portugal. A majortiy of
lots will have views of the golf course and /or
the marina and therefore should be vary
attractive on the market.
